EVERY DAY a child is faced with making choices that will affect his or her life

A child will often bend to peer pressure, rather than consider the ethics of a decision. In other words, in a moment of decision, a child will not think “is this right to do?" “how will I feel afterwards?" “how will it affect those I love?" Children who do raise these questions to peers, often get bullied, criticized, rejected, ostracized, etc., and consequently begin to adopt the actions and attitudes of their peers.

Children living in an environment that fosters powerlessness, loss of self-respect, loss of self-pride, isolation, belittlement, and shame are vulnerable to being pressured by negative influences. Children in this environment have no way to express their true inner selves with a sense of safety, respect, or pride.

The vision of R.E.P.A.Y is to restore ethical pride among our youth, and thereby equip them to resist negative influences. R.E.P.A.Y uses the arts as a mode to help children express themselves and restore a sense of ethical pride.

Children receive lessons in a fine art (creative writing, drawing, drumming, guitar, music, piano, theater, voice) at no charge to the student. Children also have several outings (i.e., fine art-related field trips) in which they can interact with other children in a safe environment. However, R.E.P.A.Y incurs several costs in providing free lessons and outings to children. Your donations can help us continue offering this service and foster our vision of restoring ethical pride among our youths.
